I am you – hidden
I am you – waiting to be
revealed
I am you in the light of
the sun
I am you – imitating
you, mirroring you.
Do you see me?
Do you like me?
The sun, in its
greatness
Wills to cast me in all
creation under it.
But do they appreciate
me shadowing them?
Oftentimes, they don’t.
Oftentimes you don’t.
Maybe because you’re the
one hit by its burning heat,
You’re the one scorched
and then what you see after
Is me of you, not the
lighted, shining you.
You get disappointed
because what you see is someone unknown –
With features hidden and
beauty concealed
You fear, judge, ignore
or simply turn away your gaze from me.
But you see, I’m not
bitter.
Because I’m valued
better by the other.
The other – who finds
rest and comfort
In me, from you – my
Twin Sister.
Yes, I am you equally.
With an exquisite beauty
we share distinctly.
We are both loved by God
totally, wholly
Tangible and intangible
missionaries –
Together we exercise
availability.
My dear Twin Sister,
Let us live and work
together.
Under the LIGHT – of the
Sun, of the Moon, of the Stars…
You shine with
empowering presence,
As I show with
comforting presence.
See? Together we are
God’s presence!
