stand in the middle of tORn and not be TORN...

TORN
November 5, 2015

Familiar. This new aura is so familiar.
Yeah, I’ve been here, I recognize.
I was the one leaving then,
And now, I’m the one left behind.
‘one leaving’ and ‘one left’ behind
-- both ONE but are not, can not.

Pain, hurt and all its circles,
In each ‘one’ felt.
I used to taste only ‘one’
But now, I’m stuck with the other ‘one’.

TORN.
I should be better at understanding this ‘one leaving’ now
For I knew and felt so well how that went.
I should be but why couldn’t I?

TORN.
I’m intertwined with this being ‘one left’.
I know what I must do
But I feel I mustn’t do.

TORN.
Should and must OR let and allow?
Maybe now, I’ll choose to stand at OR –
Stand in the middle of tORn and not be
TORN.

wisdom and innocence

There is pure innocence in WISDOM
There is profound wisdom in INNOCENCE.

The wise is not the one who covers up the guilt
But the one who is innocently pure.

The innocent is not the one who is powerless or defenseless,
But the one who is wisely profound.

personalize your experience of Mercy in this extraordinary year

MErcy
November 24, 2015

ME- the beginning of Mercy;
The object of God’s deepest identity.
Particularly, ME and universally, the whole humanity
– the subject of God’s Mercy.

Belittling and fearing my humanity – not anymore
For it’s exactly the state redeemed by my Saviour.
Not through His majesty or divinity
But exactly through His humanity, with human fragility
That He perfected the plan of God Almighty.

ME – with mind, heart, soul and body
Inclusive of capacities and personality
Endowed with sexuality and interiority.
Past, present, future and the whole of ME
–  is my humanity, same with His humanity.

Mercy then is up for this adventure
Of embracing humanity, loving human nature
Now in its dying culture.
Mercy heals and recreates and commits to nurture
To remind humanity, remind human nature
Of its great dignity as most Beloved creature.

ME, in particular; in general, humanity
As objects, subjects of God’s Divine Mercy
Ought to reveal this merciful face of the Almighty.
Everyday living in humility,
Forgiving and asking for forgiveness with generosity
Witnessing as family, as community
And as universal Church journeying together in this year of Mercy.

contemplation in an ordinary garden...

In the Garden
May 19, 2014

Oh Jesus, how I marvel at the gardens…
In the garden, you put me.
In the garden, you were in agony;
In the same garden, you were arrested.
In the garden you were crucified, you died and you were buried;
And in the garden, you resurrected!

In the garden, I feel your sorrow
When your first image disobeyed you.
In the garden, I feel your sadness
When your close friend betrayed you with a kiss.

In the garden where you died,
You freed them all in their bondage of death –
Them who thought they’re dead forever.
But them whom you loved so much that you gave your life again,
Life not of this earth, not of this garden anymore
but of the eternal gardens of heaven.

Oh my Jesus, in the garden I experienced you.
In the garden, I want to grow in a deeper knowledge of you.
In Your garden, I want to be united with you forever,
In Your garden, I want to rest with you and the Father…
